MC: YO, insert hook in the last st used, YO, draw loop through, YO, draw through 2 loops, skip 1 st, [YO, insert hook in next st, YO, draw loop through, YO, draw through 2 loops] twice all in the same st, YO and draw through all 4 loops on hook.

Ch 1 sps do not count as sts.
The ch 1 at the beginning of the row does not count as a st.
INSTRUCTIONS
Row 1: fsc 25 (or any odd number).
Optional Row 1: ch 26 (or any even number), sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and each ch across. (25 sts)
Row 2: altch2, dc in the next st, MC, * ch 1, MC * across until 1 st remains, dc in the last st used, dc in the last st. (4 dc, 11 MC)
Row 3: ch 1, sc in the first 3 sts, * sc in the next ch sp, sc in the next st * across, sc in the last 2 sts. (25 sts)
Rows 4 & 5: Repeat Rows 2 & 3.
Row 6: altch 2, dc in the first st and each st across. (25 sts)
Row 7: ch 1, sc in the first st and each st across. (25 sts)
Row 8: altch2, dc in the next st, MC, * ch 1, MC * across until 1 st remains, dc in the last st used, dc in the last st. (4 dc, 11 MC)
Row 9: ch 1, sc in the first 3 sts, * sc in the next ch sp, sc in the next st * across, sc in the last 2 sts. (25 sts)
Rows 10 & 11: Repeat Rows 8 & 9.
Repeat rows 6 - 11 until desired length. Change colors on any row, or make it in one solid color.
Fasten off and weave ends.
