Oh my gosh! What an adorable shop/website. If you are having a baby, just had a baby, know someone who is having a baby, or you have a young child.... you are going to LOVE this shop!
Allie has the most adorable animal buddies! You are going to want to make them all lol When it came down to picking a favorite, it was between "Bitty Pig Buddy" and "Edger the Elephant".
Will you be able to pick a favorite?
As usual, the photos link to the pattern. Please follow Allie where you can and give her patterns some love by adding them to your favorites :)
All of her links are at the bottom of the feature.

What is your name, business name & where do you live?
My name is Allie and I am the designer behind Stuck on You Crochet! I live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my husband and our four kids.
When/How did you learn to crochet?
I learned to crochet when I was in graduate nursing school. I have a hard time sitting still and wanted something I could easily do with my hands while watching TV or movies. I always loved to scrapbook but it makes a big mess. So I wanted something a little easier to grab and go.
What made you decide to start designing patterns?
I started designing my first pattern after a difficult miscarriage. We were pregnant with our daughter and I wanted something I could hang in her room as a tribute to the miscarriage we'd had. I designed the Rainbow Dreams Wall Hanger! I held on to it for a while before actually writing up and releasing it because I was a little nervous to release my own pattern. Once I started, I loved it! I then continued coming up with patterns during the pandemic as I was home with my kids. It was a great way to stimulate my brain and feel like I was still working since I was at home.
How would you say that your crochet designing has changed from when you started?
I certainly have more knowledge about stitches and designs than when I first started. And I have a better understanding of techniques so I feel like I am better able to help others troubleshoot if they are stuck in some part of a pattern. My designs are still pretty similar though in terms of style and genre. I love designing unique, whimsical items for children and babies.
What’s your go-to yarn and crochet hook? Any particular reason why you prefer them?
I love worsted weight yarn and a 4 mm or 4.5 mm hook. I was using worsted before plush / bulky became super popular and I just prefer it! I like the detail of the stitches and the way you can really design the stitch pattern to give definition. I think it creates a classic, timeless look.
I have started to design some blanket patterns in the last year or so and I do like bulky yarns for some of those, as they work up a bit quicker!
What are some of your favorite crochet techniques/stitches/ patterns?
Bobble stitch is definitely my number one favorite stitch. My best selling designs are my "bobble buddies" which are a lovey style animal with bobbles all over the body. It gives good sensory input in a design that is still fun for imagination and play. I love the whimsical look and textured feel that bobbles add to a pattern so I typically try to get them somewhere in most of my designs! I've also been enjoying tapestry crochet recently and coming up with some colorwork designs has been fun!
Are you a one-project-at-a-time person, or do you have a lot of WIPs on the go?
Ugh, I have far too many WIPs. My brain tends to move faster than my fingers so I'm constantly flitting from project to project. A goal of mine for 2025 is to be better about actually finishing one project before starting another, but we'll see if I can stick to it!
What’s the process like when you design a crochet pattern? What are some words you would use to describe your patterns?
I am not someone who draws out my designs before starting them. My drawing skills aren't as great as my crochet skills so typically I just have an image in my head and then I start playing around with the design with my yarn to see if I can get it to work the way I'm picturing! It tends to be a lot of trial and error. I actually think that is part of why I have a WIP problem to refer to the prior question...I'll start working on one thing but if I get stuck on the design, I'll move on to something else and maybe come back to it later.
Tell us about your favorite make or biggest crochet triumph?
I think my favorite make has to be my original bobble buddy - the snuggle bunny - because it just spurred so many more ideas and designs. There are other bobble buddies that were trickier to design that I'm also proud of, but the snuggle bunny holds a special place because it was the first one. One of my greatest triumphs was my snoozy bear bobble buddy being featured in Mollie Makes magazine. The magazine isn't in print anymore but I felt pretty honored that they were interested in my design at the time!
Paying it forward, who are some of your favorite crochet designers/ bloggers?
I love the bobble patterns from Sandra @littlegoldennook . Lindsey @lottieandalbert has some wonderfully whimsical and colorful designs that I love. Ashley @acraftyconcept has always been such a positive and encouraging light in the crochet community, which I so appreciate!
