Whenever I find some fruit in the freezer I forgot about I make this recipe. Always a favorite :) Today I found blueberries and also a package of peaches, so made 2 flavors. This recipe works with any fruit. I've used raspberries and cherries as well.
BASE:
1/2 c margarine 1 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 c milk or cream
1/4 tsp salt
CRUMB TOPPING
1/4 c margarine
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c flour
Mix and spread the base into a 9" x 13" greased pan. Put any kind of fruit over dough. Add sugar to fruit to sweeten. Cover with crumb topping. Bake at 375F for 30 minutes.
(I usually end up baking for 40 minutes)
