20 Crochet Shawl Patterns

Do you crochet shawls? I love to make them! As you know, everything I make gets donated. I have a friend who picks up the shawls and takes them to a hospice or a seniors home. Sometimes one will get donated to a female veteran. I leave it up to her.

Do you have a favorite style of shawl you like to make? Rectangle, triangle, 1/2 hexagon? What about a crescent shape? Lacy, thick and warm, or a combination of both? I like to design all shapes and sizes, don't really have any preference.

A while back I did a survey in my Canoe Mtn Designs Crochet & Friends  FB group to see what other people liked to crochet. Here are the results:

I had to add "all of the above" because someone would comment with that lol. There are other's like me who just love to crochet any type of shawl.

So far most of the shawls I have created are dk weight, though I think I may have to switch to aran and worsted weight. Winters in Canada are cold!
