The Crystal Ridge Beanie is the first pattern I published. It was added to Ravelry in January of 2018! My gosh that was a long time ago! lol

When I first designed the pattern I used bulky (#5) weight yarn and only made the pattern in one adult size. Since then I have learned how to make beanies in different sizes, and use different weights of yarn. Last year I was looking through my old patterns and thought it might be nice to add sizes to some of them, this being one of those patterns. Since most of you do not have bulky yarn as a rule I also decided to make the pattern using worsted weight yarn, something everyone usually has or is able to get easily.

At the beginning of 2024 I had decided to use as much yarn as I had at home and not buy any unless absolutely necessary. Did manage to use almost 2/3 of my yarn! That also meant using Bernat Premium (of course) for the re-do of this hat pattern. The only colors I had enough of were the pink and off white.

It's a fun top down beanie with a nice texture. The pattern is written in 4 sizes. If you look at the tester photos on Ravelry you can see what it looks like in a variety of other colors.
